About Me

I started pole vaulting in grade twelve. Before that I was a competitive gymnast, tennis and squash player. I have always had a passion for athletics and a drive to compete in the Olympics. When I first started track and field I did many events. I ran 100m 200m 400m, javelin, long jump and pole vault. My first year competing in high school track and field I won the pole vault (with a new city record). I then went on to provincials to win the Pole Vault and the 4x100m. The next two years I represented Alberta at Alberta Summer Games, Espior teams, Canada Summer Games and at Junior nationals were my best finish was 5th.
I have been funding myself to go compete in the United States where I jumped at the Mt. Sac relays and finished 5th and Pomona Pitzer Invitational were I won in my first International Meet. The next couple years I competed at senior nationals finishing top ten. I was very determined to improve to new heights so I went away to Poland to train and learn new techniques. The results from this training were I won both indoor and outdoor Provincial Championships, setting new personal bests. I finish 3rd at Senior Nationals also improving my personal best by 30cm; 3.80m to 4.10m. This allowed me to qualify and compete on my first National Team for Canada at the 2009 francophone games in Lebanon. This was an amazing experience I jumped my personal best to come 3rd and medal at my second International Team Event.
